Quick & Easy Graduation Card

I know I’m not alone. You suddenly remember a “fill in the blank” party and need a card. You go to your stash and you have everything in the world there EXCEPT the kind of card you need.

I found myself in that situation Saturday. My husband and I wanted to attend a graduation party for one of the young men in our church and I had no card that was suitable for this. Off to the craft room I went with one hour to create a card before I needed to head out the door. Sometimes my best cards are made with me in a time crunch and this one is no exception.

I used things from my stash for this project and I’m pretty please with the outcome.

Products Used:

Sizzix Black Card stock: https://shrsl.com/435df (this is not the exact pack of card stock that I have but it’s the same black card stock.)

Gold Glitter Card Stock from Pink and Main: https://shrsl.com/435dh

Gold Star Cheer Foil from Pink and Main: https://shrsl.com/435do

Stitched Oval Dies: https://shrsl.com/435dy (Again, this is not the set I used but I could not find the set I have. These are comparable.)

Art Glitter Glue: https://bit.ly/3JorlGt

Dress My Craft Trim & Score Board: https://bit.ly/3qDHsb3

We R Memory Keepers Guillotine Trimmer: https://shrsl.com/435e5

We R Memory Keepers Mini Laser Square: https://bit.ly/3IKEefV

Teflon Bone Folder: https://shrsl.com/435e6

Brutus Monroe Alabaster White Ink: https://shrsl.com/435ea

Cutting instructions:

  • Cut a black card base to 4 1/4 x 11 and score at 5 1/2. This will make a side folding landscape US A2 card.
  • Cut a Gold Glitter panel to 4 x 5 1/4
  • Cut a black card panel to 3 3/4 x 5
  • Using the oval die, cut a black oval for the focal point of the card.

  2. Place the Spring Borders stencil over the card panel ¼” above the card panel and blend the Kitsch Flamingo ink over the solid eggs.
  3. Move the stencil down ¾” and blend again using the Kitsch Flamingo. Repeat until you have the card panel covered in pink Easter Eggs.
  4. Find the Ephemera pieces in the ephemera pack that you wish to use on your card. Adhere the Easter Eggs at the center of the card panel toward the bottom.
  5. Using Scotch Double Sided Foam Mounting Tape, adhere the gnomes on each side of the eggs.
  6. Stamp the sentiment “I’m All Ears” on a strip of white cardstock and trim it out with a banner end. Adhere it to the card using the foam tape.
  7. Adhere 5 sequins of differing sizes to the card front from the top left down to the bottom right corner.
  8. Adhere the finished card panel to your card base.
